Public Consultation
Important council decisions that affect Ward 5 and Brantford at large can only be made following thoughtful public consultation. You are the voice and council is the conduit.
Transparency
A key principle of mine and essential to any healthy democracy is transparency. City councillors and all elected officials are obligated to conduct themselves with transparency and accountability to their constituents.
Fiscal Responsibility
As a self employed professional and the candidate with no corporate or special interests, ensuring OUR tax-payer dollars are spent responsibly is paramount to building a balanced future for Brantford.

- Safe Communities: Everyone deserves to feel safe in their community and I support innovative public safety measures and supportive outreach programs.
- Affordable Housing: What do we want and When do we want it? I am a keen advocate for the expeditious development of affordable housing in Brantford.
- Mental Health Support: A society with robust mental health supports is the benchmark of thriving communities and business.
- Food Security and Environmental Sustainability: I support protecting green spaces, sustainable retrofit programs, electric vehicle infrastructure, sustainable urban planning, fruit and vegetable rescue and gleaning, tree planting, wildlife habitat conservation, protecting and promoting our pollinators, reducing plastic use, green bin program, and public gardens.
- Infrastructure: As Brantford expands to accommodate a growing population and workforce, strategic and forward-thinking infrastructure is critical to future generations and growth.
- Jobs: Residents deserve desirable and well paying jobs right here in Brantford. Promoting local job creation will reduce commute times, improve quality of life, and build our local economy.
- Public Transportation: Growing up travelling on TTC subways, buses and streetcars, I learned that a modern public transportation system is highly important and essential to a thriving workforce and citizenry.
- Accessibility: Ensuring accessibility for all Brantford residents is essential. I am an advocate who hopes to address any gaps in current infrastructure to ensure citizens with disability needs are addressed.
- Anti-Bullying and Elder Abuse Prevention: Bullying and scams can occur at any age; it’s not ok. Protecting our vulnerable is paramount.
- BIPOC and LGBTQ2+ Ally: As an unflinching ally to any and all marginalized communities, I promise inclusivity, equality, advocacy, education, non-judgement and support. A diverse community of voices and perspectives is a holistic community.
- Animal Welfare: Back at home, we are an active foster family and adopters of rescue animals through the years. Animal advocates will have my supportive voice on council as Ward 5 councillor.
- Arts and Culture: Having spent my life as a professional musician and music educator, I understand the unmeasurably positive impacts that arts and culture has in creating community.
- Regional Partnerships: Teamwork makes the dream work and I look forward to problem solving regional solutions while working together in concert with Brantford's neighbouring territories and municipalities.
